Yogyakarta (17/7)- The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) UGM conducted a training on scientific journal writing for its lecturers from the 14th till the 16th of July, 2018 in Santika Hotel, Yogyakarta. This training program was held to facilitate lecturers who are currently undertaking the professorship program. “It was, at the start, initiated by Vice Dean II, Mrs. Poppy, who wanted to facilitate lecturers in writing international journal publications. Because the lecturers themselves said that they need mentoring in their professorship training,” stated Wahyu Kustiningsih, M.A. the Manager of the Education, Research, and Community Service Unit (UP3M), Fisipol UGM.
In a period of three days, the training participants engaged in intensive assistance with various mentors, and they were given ample space to consult about the writings they have made. “This training was very intensive, and every participant was assisted in great detail. Each of their articles were discussed, and they even got some tips and tricks they can use in order to be published in international journals,” explained Indira, a staff of the Education, Research, and Community Service Unit (UP3M) Fisipol UGM.
