Yogyakarta, October 22nd 2021─The Department of Communication Sciences, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM, together with the Network of Digital Literacy Activists and Mojok, also enlivened one of the series of activities held by PT KANISIUS on Friday (22/10), approaching a century of its contribution to work in the realm of Indonesian publishing and printing. The activity in the form of an interactive talk with the title “Literacy and Fallacy in Digital Content” presents three resource persons who have long been involved in the media field, including digital media, to provide non-technical skills in designing valuable and meaningful content for content creators.
Chrisna as the moderator together with the three speakers, namely Wisnu Prasetya Utomo━Lecturer of the Department of Communication Sciences FISIPOL UGM, Novi Kurnia, PhD., the representative of the Network of Digital Literacy Activists, and Puthut EA as the Head of the Mojok.co Tribe, opened a discussion room in the form of questions. interactive responsibility to provide creative related inspiration in packaging an issue as digital content for content creators. Through the questions given by Chrisna, ranging from theoretical discussions such as the meaning of digital literacy, understanding and forms of falasi, the digital ecosystem, opinions from sources related to the phenomenon of prank content, to experiences related to digital content products owned, the three speakers trying to provide awareness for content creators to avoid the risk of falsification in the content creation process.
The presence of the three speakers with their respective experiences and backgrounds generated high enthusiasm from the participants. Through the comments column available on the two hosting platforms, Zoom Meeting and Youtube, the participants wrote down questions to be submitted by Chrisna, and then answered by the speakers who had the capacity to ask questions.
In order to close the whole event, Chrisna invited the three speakers to present their closing statements in turn. With a few messages and impressions from Chrisna as a conclusion to this interactive talk show, and ending with a door prize announcement session for selected participants, the event was officially closed.
