Fisipol Creative Hub held a soft launching of the Community Entrepreneurship Academy (AKM) program. This program focuses on developing rural entrepreneurship, using potential pools of educated university students/graduates while concurrently linking the chain of various stakeholders including universities, business and philanthropy groups, regional and central governments, successful rural sociopreneurs, and also alumni groups. The AKM program serves as a bridge that supports the needs of rural development with the private sector by providing university students/graduates as facilitators, business mentors, and rural sociopreneurs.
The event was held at the Digital Library Café (Digilib) and Prof. Panut Mulyono, the rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada was also present throughout the event. He stated that, actually, villages have excellent potential that can be realized through appropriate development of resources. The Dean of Fisipol also added that through the supports provided by the existing stakeholders, Fisipol Creative Hub will also be able to produce knowledge modules (materials) that would be disseminated as newly generated knowledge. Transdisciplinary does not only relate to collaborations with other scientific disciplines, but also real practices with the support of practicioners and the private sector as well as the relevant stakeholders. The university should be capable of adapting and participating in facilitating changes that are bound to occur.
