Yogyakarta, January 7, 2026─The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) held a farewell and welcome gathering for new department and study program management today, Wednesday (January 7), at the 4th-floor Auditorium of FISIPOL UGM. This event followed the inauguration of the department and study program management at Grha Sabha Pramana this morning and served as an important momentum for strengthening department and study program management within the FISIPOL UGM academic environment.
Opening the event, the Dean of FISIPOL UGM, Dr. Wawan Mas’udi, extended a warm welcome to the new management. He also expressed his appreciation to the previous management for their hard work in managing the dynamics within their respective departments and study programs, particularly in prioritizing accreditation.
“The most important thing for the future of the study program management, when we talk about alumni and accreditation. Thank God, we worked hard with the front team, the quality assurance team, and others, so that all of our study programs are now internationally accredited. Only the doctoral program remains,” he said.
The series of activities then continued with remarks from representatives of the management, the presentation of Decrees (SK) to the representatives, and concluded with a group photo session.
The farewell and gathering were attended by all educational staff from the previous and the new management. Through this activity, FISIPOL UGM hopes to strengthen synergy, maintain continuity of performance, and affirm a shared commitment to supporting academic governance and quality educational services in accordance with Sustainable Development Goals point 4.
