Jelajah FISIPOL: An Interactive Learning Experience for New Students Exploring Learning Spaces at FISIPOL UGM

Yogyakarta, 6 August 2025 — One of the highlights of the opening day of PIONIR SOCIETY 2025 was Jelajah FISIPOL, an interactive learning activity designed to comprehensively introduce new students, known as Gamada, to the FISIPOL UGM campus environment.

In this program, Gamada were guided by co-facilitators as they explored various corners of the faculty. The route began at FISIPOL Smart Park, continued to Sansiro Park, an open green space often used by students for discussions, relaxation, or informal gatherings.

The journey then moved on to the BRIWork Amphitheater and FISIPOINT, two modern coworking spaces that serve as important facilities for students to support learning activities, discussions, and the development of creative and collaborative projects.

Along the route, Gamada stopped at several interactive learning posts. At each station, they were not only introduced to campus facilities and how to use them, but also engaged in discussions about values of collaboration, openness, and networking spirit—principles that define the learning culture at FISIPOL UGM.

Through Jelajah FISIPOL, new students were encouraged not only to become familiar with the physical spaces of the campus but also to develop a sense of belonging, curiosity, and an explorative spirit from their very first day at FISIPOL. This initiative reflects the commitment of the faculty to foster inclusive and innovative education, resonating with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — especially SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
