Yogyakarta, July 5, 2025—To continuously improve the quality of childcare and family support services, a team of Family Wellness (FW) educators conducted an educational visit to KB/TK Al Biruni Aria Graha, Bandung, on Saturday (July 5). This activity involved nine Family Wellness educators and aimed to conduct benchmarking, identify best practices, and build professional networks with managers of early childhood education institutions.
Through this activity, Family Wellness (FW) sought to compare the services, facilities, and operational management implemented by other daycares to gain references for developing internal systems that are more adaptive to user needs. This benchmarking process also provided an opportunity to review innovations in curriculum, parenting approaches, and the use of technology that support holistic child development.
Furthermore, the educators also identified best practices successfully implemented by Al Biruni Kindergarten/Kindergarten, including child safety, active parental involvement, and a professional teacher management system. The insights gained from this visit will serve as important evaluation materials for developing childcare and parenting support programs within the Family Wellness program at FISIPOL UGM.
This activity also provided an opportunity to establish strategic partnerships with similar institutions, particularly in the areas of training, information exchange, and human resource capacity building. Direct observation of the learning environment and operational systems in the field provided valuable insights into the sustainable development process.
This step aligns with FISIPOL UGM’s Family Wellness commitment to promoting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3 (Good Health and Well Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goals). By strengthening service quality and collaboration between institutions, Family Wellness hopes to continue providing optimal support for children and families while contributing to creating an inclusive, safe, and empowering environment.
