Yogyakarta, July 15, 2025─The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) of Gadjah Mada University (UGM), through the Center for Digital Society (CfDS), is once again offering the Digital Intelligence course in 2025. The Digital Intelligence course is an annual CfDS initiative that encourages the public, especially students, to become critical, reflective, and empowered digital citizens. This course is an official elective under the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Gadjah Mada University, and is open to the general public free of charge.
Designed to comprehensively explore digital issues, the Digital Intelligence course explores everything from basic categories to advanced topics. In 2025, the Digital Intelligence course will offer two main classes:
- Basic Digital Intelligence
Covers basic material relevant to everyday life to improve the public’s digital literacy. It will cover not only technology but also important issues such as ethics, politics, culture, and education, which will be discussed from an Indonesian and global context. - Advanced Digital Intelligence
Covers more specific topics in line with emerging trends. This year’s Digital Intelligence class will focus on Artificial Intelligence & Digital Humanities, covering topics that explain how AI impacts society and its value in the data era.
This Digital Intelligence course will be delivered through four learning methods:
- Interactive Lectures
- Asynchronous Videos
- Case Studies
- Quizzes and Discussions
Through the launch of the Digital Intelligence course, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) UGM is providing the public with the opportunity to learn about the digital world from a cross-disciplinary perspective with a local and global approach. This Digital Intelligence course is also expected to equip participants to become more aware of technological developments in the digital era.
