Yogyakarta, January 26, 2026—The Master of Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FISIPOL UGM), conducted a LAMSPAK Accreditation Field Assessment on Monday, January 26, 2026, in the Dean’s Meeting Room, BB 208. This activity is part of the ongoing effort to ensure quality and improve the quality of the study program.
The field assessment series began in the morning with an opening ceremony, introduction of the assessor panel, and the reading and signing of the Field Assessment Statement. The activity then continued with a confirmation session and data analysis involving the heads of the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS), Study Program leaders, lecturers, educational staff, students, and external stakeholders.
During this assessment process, the assessor panel confirmed various strategic aspects, including the UPPS and Study Program development plans, governance system, management system, performance achievements, and the future development direction of the Master of Communication Studies Program.
In addition, the assessment covered university management in functional areas, such as the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education, human resource management, finance, assets and facilities, and information systems. The assessor panel also confirmed the performance, level of engagement, service quality, and satisfaction of lecturers, educational staff, and students.
This field assessment also included confirming expectations and input from external stakeholders regarding UPPS outputs, establishing final Self-Evaluation Form (FED) data as the basis for quantitative assessment, and checking the implementation and effectiveness of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) at UPPS. The SPMI evaluation was conducted comprehensively, covering the entire PPEPP cycle, including the examination of standard documents, manuals, instruments, and periodic reports.
Through the implementation of this field assessment, FISIPOL UGM affirms its commitment to continuously maintain and improve the quality of education, institutional governance, and academic services on an ongoing basis, especially in the Master of Communication Sciences Program.
