Two Study Programs at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM Conduct LAMSPAK Accreditation Field Assessment

Yogyakarta, February 6, 2026—The Political Science Doctoral Program and the Public Policy and Management (MKP) Undergraduate Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) conducted a LAMSPAK Accreditation Field Assessment on Friday (February 6) as part of their efforts to ensure and continuously improve the quality of education.

The event began with a simultaneous opening session and was attended by the assessor team, the dean’s office, the heads of both study programs, and the Quality Assurance Unit.

Dr. Wawan Mas’udi, Dean of FISIPOL UGM, in his remarks addressed the readiness of the faculty and study programs. “We, the Faculty and Study Programs, have prepared various required documents and other supporting documentation. We hope to achieve positive results. We are also prepared if any improvements need to be made,” he said.

Following the opening session, a series of assessments was conducted separately by each study program according to a predetermined agenda.

The assessments included a presentation of study program achievements, governance, and academic development strategies. Furthermore, the Final Evaluation Document (FED) was established and confirmed, which serves as the basis for quantitative assessments in the accreditation process. The assessment team also conducted in-depth sessions with internal quality assurance implementers to ensure consistent and sustainable implementation of the quality assurance system.

This field assessment included dialogue sessions with lecturers, students, alumni, and educational staff as part of a comprehensive evaluation of the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education and academic services. The activity concluded with a feedback session by the assessment team to provide material for reflection and future study program improvements.

Through the implementation of this field assessment, FISIPOL UGM hopes that the Doctoral Study Program in Political Science and the Undergraduate Study Program in Public Policy and Management can achieve optimal accreditation results and further strengthen their commitment to maintaining academic quality, accountable governance, and scientific relevance for the development of political science and public policy at the national and global levels.
