Yogyakarta, April 11, 2026─The UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) Wellness Center held a Community Service activity in the form of a POSBINDU health check-up today, Saturday (April 11). The activity, which began at 8:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), took place in Tegal Barep Hamlet, Bulak Salak, RT 03 RW 46, Wukirsari, Cangkringan, Yogyakarta.
The event, titled “Health Check-up with the UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) Wellness Center in Celebration of the 27th Anniversary of GEMPUR” was specifically organized through a strategic collaboration between several parties, including the UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Wellness Center, the UGM Hospital (RSA) healthcare workers, the Tegal Barep Hamlet community, and the local Youth Organization (Karang Taruna).
Kemas Chairudin, S.I.Kom., a representative from the Health Promoting University (HPU) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UGM, emphasized the importance of maintaining health and implementing preventive measures through routine check-ups in his remarks. “We hope that programs like this won’t just be held once. But will be ongoing, perhaps once a year, or twice a year. The important thing is that it doesn’t stop here,” Kemas said. This activity is expected to continue to raise awareness and improve the quality of health in the surrounding community as a tangible manifestation of the university’s dedication.
