Yogyakarta, March 30, 2026─The Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), hosted 34 students from the International Relations Study Program at Universitas Mulawarman (PSHI Unmul) for the 2026 Study Excursion on Monday (30/3). The event, held in Room BG204 of the Faculty, was divided into three main sessions: a scientific discussion, an introduction to the UGM Master of International Relations Study Program, and a student experience sharing session.

In the first session, IR UGM presented Prof. Dafri Agussalim to deliver a presentation entitled “Maritime Security and Non-Traditional Security Threats in the Southeast Asia Region: Challenges and Opportunities for ASEAN and Indonesia.” In this session, Prof. Dafri reviewed maritime security issues and non-traditional security challenges, particularly transnational organized crime in Southeast Asia.
The agenda continued with an introductory session to the Master of International Relations Study Program at UGM. Moderated by Nurhawira Gigih Pramono, Assistant for Master’s Program Development, the session provided a variety of information regarding the profile, curriculum, and opportunities for continuing studies in the Master of International Relations Study Program at UGM.

The visit concluded with an interactive quiz and experience-sharing session led by all members of the International Relations Student Corps (Komahi) at UGM, along with the International Relations Student Association (Himahi) at Mulawarman University. Following the event, all students, from both DIHI UGM and PSHI Unmul, participated in a group photo session to strengthen the network among International Relations students.
