Yogyakarta, June 15, 2026─The Department of Social Development and Welfare (PSdK) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Prof. Dr. Soeharso Integrated Center in Surakarta on Monday (June 15) in the Dean’s Room of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and Meeting Room 1 of the PSdK Department.
This activity marks the beginning of a collaboration to develop the PSdK Social Laboratory, which will include a wide range of activities, including capacity building, internships, theses, field lectures, and more.
The signing of the PKS was carried out through a series of activities that began with a discussion and presentation of the collaboration plan between the PSdK FISIPOL UGM and the Prof. Dr. Soeharso Integrated Center in Surakarta. Then, on the same day, “WARMINDO: Warung Mini Dialogue” was held, a poster exhibition of the results of a field lecture on Social Work conducted at the Prof. Dr. Soeharso Integrated Center in Surakarta on May 21, 2026.
This activity was part of the follow-up to the initial initiative of the Social Laboratory of the Department of Social Work and Social Welfare, established in collaboration with the center.
Through its ongoing development of the Social Laboratory in collaboration with strategic partners such as the Prof. Dr. Soeharso Integrated Center, PSdK FISIPOL UGM is committed to producing practitioners who are not only theoretically proficient but also sensitive and prepared to address the complexities of social welfare issues in the field.
The event was attended by the Head of the Prof. Dr. Soeharso Integrated Center, Dodi Taresa as a representative of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, the Head of the PSdK Department, Bahruddin, Ph.D., the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UGM, Wawan Mas’udi, Ph.D., and representatives of the lecturers and staff of the PSdK Department, FISIPOL UGM.
