Yogyakarta, August 10, 2026—FISIPOL UGM held a welcoming event today for new postgraduate students for the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 academic year at the FISIPOL UGM West Concourse. This year, the faculty welcomed 305 new students, comprising 125 men and 180 women. Among them are two international students who will pursue their studies in the Master’s Program in International Relations.
In his remarks, the Dean of FISIPOL UGM, Dr. Wawan Mas’udi, highlighted three flagship research areas at the faculty level: Democracy and Social Inclusion, Climate Change and Sustainability, and Digital Transformation. These three focus areas serve as a vital foundation for students to respond to various changes, broaden their perspectives, and make tangible contributions to society.
Through this welcoming event, FISIPOL UGM hopes that all postgraduate students will take full advantage of opportunities for learning, research, and collaboration, thereby making meaningful contributions to knowledge, society, and a more sustainable future.
