“Charles Small is visiting the university to share his experience and give advice to those considering consulting as a career. Charles currently runs a risk advisory practice from London, specialising in the risks to doing business in emerging and frontier markets. Projects this year have so far included providing a rapid response report on risks to operating in Turkey during the attempted coup, advising journalists operating in Brazil during the Rio Olympics, and working with a multinational advertising firm to deliver social media sentiment analysis. He has an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), in which he focused on China’s Middle East policy.
