60 Semifinalists of Soprema 2018 Competed To Reach The Final Round

Yogyakarta- the 60 semifinalists of Soprema 2018 competition from the startup category (for companies aged 1-3 years) and the kick-off category (for companies that are under 1-year-old) presented their business ideas in front of the judges on Tuesday (13/11) morning. Various social businesses, ranging from culinary until technology, have presented their ideas well through various forms of appealing and creative presentations.  The semifinalists will compete in order to proceed to the final round that will be held on Wednesday (14/11) on Fisipol UGM. The presentations were held from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. in Fisipol UGM.

After the break, all participants of the incubation and the semifinalists of the competition attended the national seminar entitled “The Optimization of Young Entrepreneurship in The Era of Digital Disruption”, with Dr. Imam Gunawan, MAP (The Assistant of the Deputy of the Youth Entrepreneurship Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia), Hendro Padmono (The Head of the Yogyakarta branch of BRI), Anggoro (the Talent Development Expert Staff at Indonesia Digital Creative Industry Community (MIKTI)) and Goris Mustaqim (the President of the Asgar Foundation) as speakers. This seminar was attended by almost two hundred participants, which consisted of sociopreneurs and students.

During the evening, a joint dinner event was held for all semifinalists and participants of the incubation in order to strengthen the ties of all of the participants of Soprema 2018. The event was ended with the announcement of the names of the finalists. 6 teams from the kick-off and startup categories will proceed to the final round. The finalists of the kick-off category were Naray (Special Region of Yogyakarta), Tani Jiwo (Central Java), Kepul (North Sumatra), Sahkali (Banten), Flos (Central Java) and Tun Jang Coffee (Bengkulu). From the startup category, the finalists that will proceed to the final round were Arum Dwi Nastiti (Central Java), 21 Points Group (East Kalimantan), Desain for Dream (Special Region of Yogyakarta), Zairi/Kelas Entrepreneur (Bengkulu), Sudut Lombok (West Nusa Tenggara) and Gede Jamur (Bali). The 12 finalists will conduct the final presentation in front of the judges on Wednesday (14/11), and the winners will be announced on the awarding night on the same day.
