Program
There are 6 departments under FISIPOL UGM which offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. The departments include; International Relations (IR), Politics and Governance, Communication Studies, Sociology, Public Policy and Management (MKP), and Social Development and Welfare (PSdK). The six programs are interrelated and committed to maintaining a close relationship of the various elements that constitutes a nation, through the development of education.
The undergraduate program offers students to study with the KRS system (Study Plan Card). Where students are required to undertake compulsory subjects for the first 1 or 2 years, and are later given the flexibility to determine their own academic agenda. The length of study for the Bachelor Program on average is 3.5 to 4 years with a maximum of 24 credits taken in each semester. To graduate, students are required to have completed a minimum of 144 credits which includes; Student Field Study Service - Kuliah Kerja Nyata KKN - (3 credits) and thesis (6 credits).
