As an international university, FISIPOL UGM offers an integrated postgraduate program curriculum. The programs include:
The Master of International Relations study program focuses on studies, issues, concepts, and empirical frameworks to understand cross-field relationships in diplomacy and foreign policy. The study program opens two concentrations of study interests as follows:
• International Relations (MAIR) emphasizes advanced diplomacy and foreign policy studies. This special interest discusses issues, concepts, and theorization of policies and practices in the fields of international security, international regimes, international law, legal frameworks for international cooperation, global political economy, trade and investment politics, global competition politics, and international peace.
• Digital Transformation and Competitiveness (DTC) is designed as a vehicle for producing knowledge through Indonesian perspectives and experiences combined with comparative studies of the experiences of other countries.
S2 HI develops double degree program collaboration with Laura Magistrale in Relations and Institution of Asia and Africa, University of Naples "L'Orientale", Italy

The Master of Communication Science Study Program was born to respond to scientific developments due to the penetration of information and communication technology (ICT) and the socio-political dynamics in Indonesia after the reformation which gave birth to a number of policies on freedom of information and news.
The Master of Communication Science Study Program, which was born in 2005, compiled a learning program in three areas of interest (Media and Cultural Studies, Communication Management, and Digital Media and Communication) to equip students to be able to face the challenges and dynamics that will occur in the future.

TheMaster of Sociology study program focuses on critical thinking and emancipatory research. This focus is the dialectical development of the theory and methodology of the discipline of sociology and interdisciplinary social sciences. This study program has three interdisciplinary study clusters: Digital Humanities, Sociology and Social Policy, and Identity and Citizenship.
The three study clusters aim to encourage students to be able to produce research that is relevant to the development of contemporary sociology and social sciences and has a basis in social advocacy.

The Master of Public Policy and Management (S2 MKP) Study Program focuses on developing critical and analytical skills to understand the various challenges of public policy, public management, and its formulation.
This study program focuses on forming the competencies of three graduate profiles: policy analyst, policy scientist, and policy advocate.
The Master of Public Policy and Management implements the following curriculum:
- Management System = Semi-block system (SKS system that is managed thematically per semester)
- Implementation of study concentration = The concentration system is removed, focusing on shaping the competencies of three graduate profiles: policy analysts, policy scientists, and policy advocates.
- Study load = 67 credits equivalent to 120 ECTS (1 credit = 45 hours / semester), (5 basic compulsory courses; 5 core compulsory courses; 2 special courses; Internship; Final Project)
- Forms of learning activities = Lectures, project-based learning, and training are held systematically and managed in an integrated manner in each semester.

The oldest Master of Politics program in Indonesia educates students to understand politics and government in Indonesia through comparative studies with other countries. The Master of Politics and Government study program has five concentration options:
- Natural Resource Politics
- Local Politics and Regional Autonomy
- Indonesian Politics
- Human Rights and Democracy
- Election Governance
Master of Politics and Government develops a Double Degree Program through the LPDP scheme with the Master of Science in Globalization and Sustainable Development Program, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway.

Social Development and Welfare
The Master of Social Development and Welfare Study Program (S2 PSdK) has a vision to become an educational institution that creates a competent, critical, and creative academic community with two specializations:
- Regular Class offering courses covering social policy and community empowerment,
- CSR Interest Class offering courses covering theories and practices of implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR).
S2 PSdK develops a Double Degree Program through the LPDP scheme with the MA Social Policy Program, University of Birmingham, UK.

Master of Public Administration
The Master of Public Administration (MIAP) is designed to educate public sector managers and policy analysts to be able to make public decisions in responding to changes in society. The IAP Masters study program is divided into several classes:
- Regular Class (lecture activities Monday-Friday)
- Special Class (collaboration class with various public institutions; lecture activities Monday-Friday)
- Smart City Special Interest Class
- Executive Hybrid Class
