Yogyakarta, April 2nd 2024—The Ajisaka Festival 2024 was again successfully held on 23-24 March 2024. Were 392 participants recorded as members of 151 teams from 38 national universities.

Entering a decade, the 2024 UGM Ajisaka Festival has the theme “Samarthya Bhumi” which means the earth and its strength. In the last 10 years, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) report states that the earth’s temperature has experienced a significant increase in temperature of 1.02 degrees Celsius. Various experts also stated that this increase was caused by many factors, especially climate change. The trigger also comes from various human activities which tend to trap carbon gas in the atmosphere. The impact of rising earth temperatures also threatens the habitats of humans, animals and plants.
