Yogyakarta, December 1st 2021─The Faculty of Social and Political Science UGM received a visit from The Faculty of Ushluhuddin and Adab of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin (SMH) Banten on Monday (29/11) at Fisipol UGM Auditorium Room on the 4th floor.
Fisipol UGM’s Vice Dean of Finance and Human Resources, Nurhadi, opened the event and gave an opening speech in an event attended by the Dean of UIN SMH Ushuluddin and Adab Faculty, Dr. Mohamad Hudaeri and his staff. In his opening speech, Nurhadi talked about Fisipol UGM’s profile that has six study programs and several units under it. Furthermore, Nurhadi said that Fisipol UGM is open for collaboration in the academic, research, and other aspects.
The event is meant to enrich the knowledge of UIN SMH Banten who is planning to widen their department related to the social and humanities studies.
“From Fisipol UGM we can learn about the kinds of study programs that can be developed in collaboration with Fisipol UGM and other universities,” Hudaeri said.
Other than that, both parties also shared their experience with the new program from the Ministry of Education which is the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. UIN SMH Banten faces quite a challenge in implementing as well as adapting the MBKM program to the academic system.
After the event, UIN SMH Banten visited the Digilib (Digital Library) and the co-working space as the facilities that Fisipol UGM created to accommodate students’ studying process.
Fisipol UGM also received a visit from The Social and Political Science Faculty (FISIP) of Makassar Hasanuddin University on Wednesday, December 1st 2021. The visit was attended by the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships, Dr. Hasrullah and his staff, as well as the Student Corps of Hasanuddin University FISIP.
In his opening speech, Hasrullah talked about the purpose of the study visit to Fisipol UGM. The Hasanuddin University would like to know the management of student affairs, specifically the organization system that is implemented by Fisipol UGM’s Dean of Student Affairs.
“We would like to see the management of student affairs. Especially in response to the 2045 gold generation when the students we have now will be the leaders we follow in the years to come,” he said.
After that, the visit was followed by a discussion between Fisipol UGM’s Dean of Students Affairs and Hasanuddin University FISIP Student Council. The topic of the discussion was about the dynamics of organization, recruitment, leader anointment, the consistency of the projects, and internal relationships.
