Fisipol Wins the Best Social Media Management Award

Yogyakarta, 16 October 2019—Fisipol UGM won several awards during the UGM awarding night for high achievers. This awarding night was held in the courtyard of the UGM central building and was held to celebrate the 14th lustrum and the 70th Dies Natalis of UGM.

The Kandang, a band from the Faculty of Engineering of UGM, enlivened this event. Faculty members of UGM participated in this event, ranging from students, staffs, lecturers and even alumni. Numerous awards were given at that night, starting from the university level, the national level and until the international level. These awards were given to individuals and organizations.

Drs. Gugup Kismono, MBA., Ph.D., the Executive Secretary of UGM, stated that this awarding night was held to motivate all faculty members of UGM. Gugup believed that the awards themselves could never repay the contributions that the awardees have given for UGM and Indonesia.

According to Gugup, UGM’s excellent reputation is earned through the dexterity, creativity, humility and spirit to serve the university and the nation of its faculty members. Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., IPU., ASEAN Eng., the Rector of UGM, seconded this.

Panut believed that these awards weren’t given for nothing. Panut conveyed that it took hard work, consistency, prayers and support from the community in order to achieve success. He hoped that the awardees, including students, will be the agents of change that can inspire their peers.
