This year, the policies regarding the research period have been extended for both grant recipients of this year and for the year before. This is done to give more time for researchers in processing data collection, data organization, writing, and publication.

“As for the grant recipients last year who have not finished their research, they are allowed to continue it. We realize that producing good publications and research is very difficult to do in a short period of time. This is why this year’s grant scheme does not only focus on proposal writing and resource distribution, but there is also a form of facilitation in improving the quality of research,” explained Wawan Mas’udi in his speech, as the Dean of Fisipol UGM.

Specifically in regards to the deadline for submitting the final output for International Collaborative and Triple Helix grants, it is no later than June 30, 2027. This year, the theme for International Collaborative and Triple Helix grants includes topics such as (1) climate change and continuity, (2) digital transformation and artificial intelligence, and (3) social inclusion, community empowerment, and policy studies..

This initiative is in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, specifically in promoting sustainable education. Through this, UP3M of Fisipol UGM is committed to improving the quality of research by bridging the divide between data collection and publication. By accompanying researchers in their research processes and pushing the practice of publication, it is hoped that Fisipol UGM can improve academic productivity.
