FISIPOL Creative Hub (C-Hub) on Thursday, March 22, 2018, held a sharing session by inviting the two startups of Gifood and Voice for Changes to tell their experiences to about thirty other entrepreneur candidates. Located at Digilib Cafe, this sharing session is held to educate prospective entrepreneurs so they can imagine the development of startup that they will create later.

The second concept of startup in sharing session this time was interesting and innovative. Gifood is a startup that liaises between people who have excess food and people who do not have access to food. Voice for Changes itself is a startup that focuses on creating audiobooks for distribution to blind people who do not get a chance to taste the fun of reading novels and interesting new books.

Gifood created by Naufal Fathin with two other friends who are XL Future Leaders scholarship recipients, initiate this startup because of the fact that many people who have difficulty getting or have access to food are on the other hand many are throwing food away. “Initially wanted to build Gifood to feed the homeless, who could not get food. But it turns out, even KKN friends are just a lot of sick because of difficulty finding food, “said Naufal when explaining his motivation to set up this startup.

Simply by sending an SMS to Gifood, then Gifood will move to take the food given giver.Selanjutnya, in accordance with its function as a transporter, Gifood will move to share the food. Gifood has now expanded into the LINE app and since February 2018, there are already 1,600 LINE users who added Gifood as a friend. Through this movement Naufal very much hope that many people are moved to contribute as a giver in Gifood. “In essence, food waste is a very difficult problem to solve if there are only 1-2 people who complete. We just want to move together to reduce food waste and reduce the number of people who are starving. ”

Not inferior to Gifood, Voice for Changes also began with the experience of the founder with blind children. Project Director Abdullah Faqih, saw that the blind children in the place he volunteered had not been given the opportunity to access the book due to the limited stock of braille books there. The blind children rely on teachers and other volunteers to read books so they are less efficient when they want to learn on their own.

Departure from this unrest, Faqih finally initiated a startup that gathered the voice of people from all over Indonesia to participate recording their voice reading books – novels and children’s story books, to be distributed to the blind. Currently, Voice for Changes has produced two books, the novel Dilan and The X-Files 2 and has 20 volunteers who donated their votes. “Your voice will give color to the blind people. Thanks to your beautiful voice, it can give new colors to the lives of these children because you open their eyes to the beautiful things they can not see. “Closing statements from Faqih not only cover their exposure but also invite the audience to participate also in startup that is running.
