Yogyakarta, August 5th 2021─The Center for Digital Society together with Huawei Indonesia held the SOBAT CERDIG event (Afternoon with Smart Digital Friends) via Instagram Live. The event took place on Thursday night (5/8) by presenting speaker Rayi Pradono, Huawei ICT Talent Ecosystem Development Manager. The material presented was “AI with a Cause with Huawei” as one of the Advanced Digital Intelligence classes.
Digital intelligence is an individual’s social, emotional and cognitive abilities to face challenges and adapt to the demands of digital life. In the digital era, the existence of computing technology has penetrated a lot in our lives. As a result of technology, there is the term technological disruption, which is an innovation that causes massive changes in the presence of this technology. Especially during the pandemic, almost all sectors are accelerating the transformation to digital.
Technological disruption is a phenomenon that we cannot avoid. Any change leads to development or even collapse. As humans, we are expected to be able to face these challenges so that they cannot be replaced by machines. “Technological disruption has led to the emergence of new jobs that were never thought of before, such as data analyst,” Rayi Pradono said.
With regard to artificial intelligence (AI), technology works on how machines can imitate human intelligence by pretending to think for themselves. However, Rayi revealed, learning digital technology is not only about programs, many functions in the field of work use technology to process data, create information, and other things that are part of a digitization process.
Furthermore, in terms of supporting digital intelligence, Huawei tries to always innovate, especially in intensifying AI. In Indonesia itself, Huawei is committed to developing talent by focusing on educating people to have the literacy, expertise, and skills to be able to work and face technological challenges. “One of them is collaborating with universities to foster and educate students so that they can learn about the latest technology. We hope that Indonesia has highly talented people,” Rayi Pradono said.
