Yogyakarta, July 11th 2022─In its seventh year, Indonesia Young Sociopreneur or SOPREMA FISIPOL UGM is back with the theme “#7YearofSOPREMA: Recover Together, Recover Stronger, Rise up With Sociopreneur”. Youth Study Center (YouSure) Fisipol UGM held a press conference to open SOPREMA 2022 on Monday (11/7), in BRIWork Fisipol UGM. Yousure and Fisipol UGM always commit to create and support social entrepreneurship, especially among youths across Indonesia through the SOPREMA event (Sociopreneur Muda Indonesia).
“Fisipol will always support this event and the collaboration of other sociopreneurship ideas because this sociopreneurship is one of the pillars that Fisipol UGM supports. We will support the ideas and try to help them find some funding source,” said Fina Itriyati as the Vice Dean of Research and Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni of Fisipol UGM.
As a form of adaptation to the pandemic situation, the SOPREMA 2022 event will be held in a hybrid scheme (a combination of online and offline). Still the same as the previous years, the competition in SOPREMA will be divided into two categories which are the Kick Off category (for business under one-year-old or that is still in the form of an idea) and the Start Up category (for business over one-year-old).
However, what is slightly different is the incubation activity which focuses on knowledge and skill improvement of the sociopreneurs. This year, the incubation will be held in cooperation with the Directorate of Business Incubation and Development (PUI) UGM and Creative Hub Fisipol UGM who invite other practitioners or sociopreneurs as the mentors.
“We try to push for the strengthening of the incubation. The incubation process will be more intense. Each day of the event will be opened with an incubation from the alumni of SOPREMA 2019-2020. We are focused on the alumni who currently reside in Yogyakarta with the hopes that we can do the incubation process offline,” said the Program Director of SOPREMA, Hempri Suyatna.
Additionally, other events like the talkshow, SOPREMA Talk, and Expo are also included in SOPREMA FISIPOL UGM 2022. Here is the timeline of SOPREMA 2022:
