Specializing in Social-Technical Perspectives of Water Management, DPP FISIPOL UGM Opens CARING Scholarship Program

Yogyakarta, July 15th 2024─The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Universitas Gadjah Mada (FISIPOL UGM) in collaboration with the IHE Delft Institute, Arkom Indonesia, and supported by the Water Development Program (WDP), the Dutch Government, opened the “CARING” Program Scholarship Program (Caring the flows for a healthier urban(ized) (ground)water in Semarang and Yogyakarta, Indonesia). This program has been implemented from 2023 to 2026. The program aims to support and catalyze knowledge transformation related to socially inclusive and ecologically sustainable water management practices.

To strengthen the program, FISIPOL UGM invites Indonesia’s best talents to be part of our program. 3 scholarship recipients are available for the 2024/2025 academic year. The necessary requirements are:

  1. Is a student who is accepted in the Politics and Government Master Program at Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM in the 2024/2025 academic year registration. Registration follows the process determined by UGM
  2. Attach a short draft proposal with the theme “Water Governance from a socio-engineering perspective”:
  3. Have research experience related to Water Governance.
  4. English proficiency, with an IELTS score of at least 6

This CARING Scholarship covers the Tuition fee for 4 Semesters, as well as financial support for field research. In addition, prospective students who are accepted must fulfill several additional requirements, namely:

  1. Prospective students who are accepted for the 2024 FISIPOL UGM CARING Program scholarship are not allowed to apply for a postponement of study to the next period
  2. Prospective students who are accepted by the CARING Program scholarship, make a stamped statement containing the ability to complete the study in 4 semesters, and if not completed in 4 semesters will return the scholarship that has been given.
  3. Prospective students who do not register in the current semester are considered to have resigned

This scholarship only applies to students who are admitted to the Politics and Government Master Program at Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM in the 2024/2025 academic year registration.
