“So, Mendadaq Gigz is a music event held to let off steam after the Final Exams,” exclaimed the host.
As mentioned, this event was specifically initiated as a mental refresher after weeks of going through the tension of the Final Exams (UAS) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

The stage came alive thanks to a lineup of talents who took turns enlivening the event. The audience was treated to excellent and energetic performances from bands initiated by students and the academic community of FISIPOL UGM, such as TheParkirs, Jembatan, SosHIo, G-Project, and J’Office, along with a special performance by the host itself, FMF or Forum Musik FISIPOL.
The presence of Mendadaq Gigz adds to the long track record of FMF, which is known to be highly active and consistent in nurturing the sustainability of creative spaces within the faculty. Previously, this arts collective had successfully organized highly anticipated regular music programs for students, such as Wed-Eve, Fri-Eve, and the year-end celebration event, Desember Ceria.
More than just a faculty-scale entertainment event, the presence of such stages supports the balance between academic demands and non-academic freedom of expression. Going forward, it is hoped that these collective agendas will continue to thrive and serve as a supportive space for the growth of talents at FISIPOL UGM.
