Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of UGM Presents Grant 2024, Encouraging Research Publication and Establishing Quality Partnerships

Yogyakarta, February 5th 2024─The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) once again held Research, Publication, and Community Service Grants, an annual event that aims to encourage competition and development of innovative research to face various social challenges.

This grant is given to lecturers, researchers, and students of FISIPOL UGM, both individually and in groups. The spirit of collaboration across departments, study centers, and participation of students and partners is expected to enrich the quality of the research produced.

This year’s grant focuses on strengthening research publications and partnerships with domestic and foreign institutions, especially those engaged in higher education, advocacy, and government. Flagship themes of the FISIPOL Grant of 2024 include climate change and energy transition, digital transformation, and social inclusion. In addition, themes related to sustainable development goals (SDGs) are also given space.

This year the grants are offered in several schemes:

  1. Scientific writing grants for lecturers.
  2. Proofreading assistance (language correction) for international publications for lecturers.
  3. Publication incentive grants for lecturers.
  4. International and triple helix collaborative research grants for lecturers and researchers.
  5. Individual grants for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.
  6. Student Creativity Week/PKM preparation grants.
  7. Facilitation of proposal preparation for bidding grants/seed funding.
  8. Focusing grants for strategic issues.

The FISIPOL Grant of 2024 allocates funds from the Annual Work Plan and Budget (RKAT) and other sources that can be accounted for. This activity takes place from February 5 to November 15, 2024, starting with the opening of the grant competition and ending with Research Days, where grantees will present their performance achievements to the public.
