Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM Presents Research Grants 2024, Encourages Publication of Research and Establishes Quality Partnerships

Yogyakarta, February 5th 2024─Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is holding Research, Publication and Community Service Grants, an annual activity aimed at encouraging competition and the development of innovative research to face various social challenges.

This grant is given to lecturers, researchers, and students of Fisipol UGM, both individually and in groups. It is hoped that the spirit of collaboration across departments, study centers, and enrich the quality of the research produced by students and partners.

This year’s grant focuses on strengthening the publication of research results and partnerships with domestic and foreign institutions, especially those operating in the fields of higher education, advocacy, and government. The flagship or leading themes of the 2024 Fisipol Grant include climate change and energy transition, digital transformation, and social inclusion. Apart from that, themes related to sustainable development goals (SDGs) are also given space.

This year grants are offered in several schemes:

  1. Grants for writing scientific papers for lecturers.
  2. Proofreading assistance (language correction) for lecturers’ international publications.
  3. Publication incentive grants for lecturers.
  4. International collaborative research grants and triple helix for lecturers and researchers.
  5. Individual grants for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students.
  6. Grant for preparing for Student Creativity Week/PKM.
  7. Facilitate the preparation of proposals for bidding grants/seed funding.
  8. Mandatory grants for strategic issues

The 2024 Fisipol Grant allocates funds from the Annual Work Plan and Budget (RKAT) and other accountable sources. This activity will take place from 5 February to 15 November 2024, starting with the opening of the grant competition and ending with Research Days, where grant recipients will present their performance achievements to the public.
