Yogyakarta, December 14th 2022—In collaboration with Gadjah Mada Medical Center (GMC), Family Wellness Fisipol UGM routinely holds free health screening for registered children. The health screenings that are carried out range from child health screening services to dental health screening. Child health screening services are carried out regularly every one (1) month. Meanwhile, routine dental health screening services are carried out once every six (6) months.
This collaboration was initiated on the basis of realizing Family Wellness’s mission to improve the welfare of parents of golden-age children, which are aged 3 months to 5 years.
“We are here to provide a safe and comfortable environment by paying attention to the growth and development of children, both psychologically and physically. In order to accomplish this, one of the facilities we provide is health screening services, by bringing health workers to Family Wellness,” said Susanti Kusumasari, one of the Family Wellness administrators in an interview with Media Fisipol (14/12).
Furthermore, Santi said this collaboration with GMC was initiated on several considerations. One of which is GMC’s location which is close to the campus environment, as well as its adequate and child-friendly service. The collaboration with GMC began officially on August 29 2022 and was realized with the first child examination on September 23, 2022.
Moving forward, Family Wellness plans to add other routine screening service facilities, namely social maturity screening, as well as children’s psychological growth and development screening. The collaboration with GMC in facilitating child health screening is expected to provide the greatest services for the sake of children’s growth and development.
Meanwhile, Family Wellness is open to the Fisipol and UGM academic community and general public.
