Finding a Second ‘Home’ on Campus: Sansiro Fair 2026 Opens a Space for New FISIPOL Students to Explore Organizations

Yogyakarta, August 27, 2026—The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FISIPOL UGM) once again presented Sansiro Fair 2026, a special venue for new students to immerse themselves in the diverse organizations and student activity units that form the heartbeat of campus life.

Held over two days, this event served as an initial gateway for the Class of 2026 to map out their interests and unlock their potential beyond the classroom. Dozens of booths representing various Departmental Student Associations (HMD) and Faculty Student Activity Units (UKMF) stood ready to welcome enthusiastic participants. Each booth showcased the group’s identity, flagship programs, and past achievements, allowing new students to gain a clear picture of which community best aligned with their spirit and aspirations.

The first day focused on interactive exploration sessions, where representatives from each organization outlined their leadership structures, schedules for practice or routine meetings, and core values. Sansiro Fair 2026 marked the starting point for new students to realize that life at FISIPOL involves finding a community that will accompany them throughout their academic journey.

On the second day, the spirit of exploration was amplified by a sense of energy and togetherness during the event’s finale, which featured musical performances and gigs by various arts communities within FISIPOL. From the outset, the core concept behind Sansiro Fair was to create a moment of happiness and collective celebration; through the euphoria of the second day, new students experienced firsthand that organizational dynamics are not merely about tasks and responsibilities, but also about the solidarity and joy fostered within these groups. As a highly anticipated annual event, the Sansiro Fair serves as a driving force that enables new students to immerse themselves directly in the organizational ecosystem of FISIPOL. The event goes beyond mere introductions; it aims to foster active participation, unlock students’ full potential, and strengthen the sense of community among them.
