FISIPOL UGM Dean Wawan Mas’udi Invites Four Dean Candidates for the 2026–2031 Term to Trace the Faculty’s Journey Over the Last Two Decades

Yogyakarta, July 23, 2026—The Dean of FISIPOL UGM, Dr. Wawan Mas’udi, invited four candidates for the 2026–2031 deanship (Gabriel Lele, Fina Itriyati, Arie Ruhyanto, and Bahruddin) on a campus tour this Thursday (July 23) to explore the faculty’s journey and development over the past twenty years.

This event served as an opportunity to observe the various campus infrastructure transformations that have taken place since the tenure of Dean Pratikno, while also discussing initiatives related to the *Tri Dharma* (Three Pillars of Higher Education), the well-being of the academic community, student support facilities, the climate of academic freedom, and the faculty’s financial capacity. The tour covered the FISIPOL Bulaksumur Campus, the FISIPOL House Block, the Sekip Campus, and the “Norway House.”

Through this activity—conducted in a warm atmosphere of camaraderie—the candidates were invited to gain insight into the faculty’s history, achievements, development agenda, and governance challenges. It is hoped that this experience will provide the candidates with a comprehensive foundation for formulating the best ideas and programs to advance FISIPOL.

The event also reflects the spirit that the FISIPOL UGM Dean selection is a collective process of passing the leadership baton. Driven by collaboration and mutual respect, we hope this process yields leadership capable of fostering faculty prosperity, generating societal impact, and maintaining the faculty’s status as a benchmark for scholarly development.

Let us support the FISIPOL UGM Dean selection process for 2026–2031 together—upholding a spirit of togetherness and mutual respect, prioritizing ideas, and ensuring high quality. FISIPOL: our shared home.
