Yogyakarta, August 10, 2026—The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fisipol UGM) hosted a benchmarking visit from the Department of Development Studies at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, today, Monday (August 10), at the Dean’s Office Meeting Room, Fisipol UGM.
Specifically, this visit served as a comparative study regarding study program management and preparations for accreditation by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Social, Political, Administrative, and Communication Sciences (LAMSPAK). This accreditation process involves two study programs: the Bachelor’s Program in Development Studies and the Bachelor’s Program in Communication Science.
Furthermore, this visit is expected to pave the way for collaboration under the “Tridharma” (Three Pillars of Higher Education) framework between Fisipol UGM and ITS, encompassing not only information exchange but also opportunities for joint research and community service collaborations.
