Yogyakarta, April 13, 2026—The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FISIPOL UGM), provides a Wellness Center, a free health screening facility for the entire academic community.
Physical health is a key foundation that influences one’s productivity. For the academic community, the quality of health will significantly influence the teaching and learning process, research, and public service delivery. Recognizing this, FISIPOL UGM is committed to creating a healthy campus environment for the entire academic community.
One concrete manifestation of this declaration is the establishment of a Wellness Center. Starting as an Integrated Non-Communicable Disease Development Post, this facility has since evolved into a Wellness Center to manage risk factors for non-communicable diseases within FISIPOL UGM.
The Wellness Center routinely holds free health check-ups twice a month, with a systematic process that includes registration, blood pressure measurement, anthropometry (height, weight, and body mass measurement), and blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid tests. On several occasions, the Wellness Center has also collaborated with various parties, such as JSC Eyewear Yogyakarta, to provide free eye examinations, as well as the Gadjah Mada University Hospital (RSA UGM) and the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing UGM (FK-KMK UGM) to provide more comprehensive health services.
As the Wellness Center continues to grow and develop, FISIPOL UGM remains committed to improving the health services available to its academic community. The faculty’s commitment to wellness demonstrates their belief that a healthy campus is a productive campus, ultimately leading to better educational outcomes and greater social contribution.
