Following the opening ceremony, the event continued with a brief profile presentation by the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS), the establishment of the Final Evaluation Document (FED), and a session on Internal Quality Assurance Implementation. A dialogue with students, lecturers, educational staff, alumni, and users was the final session before the assessment closed.
Agenda FISIPOL
The discussion, moderated by Delta Fera Apriani, an alumna of the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), was designed to enrich understanding of the theoretical foundations of modern sociology from a phenomenological perspective. The enthusiasm of the participants, consisting of students and academics, was evident in the interactive question-and-answer session, which deepened the dialogue between the speaker and the audience.
This guest lecture also reflects the institution’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly point 4 on Quality Education, by expanding access to global academic discourse through open and collaborative forums. Furthermore, the cross-border collaboration between Indonesian and Argentinian academics aligns with point 17 on Partnerships to Achieve the Goals, which emphasizes the importance of international networking and cooperation in strengthening higher education capacity and developing inclusive and sustainable science.
Yogyakarta, February 13, 2026─The Center for Capacity Development and Cooperation (PPKK) FISIPOL UGM held the first batch of training on Compiling Government Agency Performance Reports (LKJIP) from February 10–13, 2026, in Yogyakarta. Participants came from North Kalimantan Province, Cianjur Regency, Rembang Regency, and Banjarbaru City.

The training was conducted using interactive methods. Participants not only listened to the material from the speakers but also engaged in brainstorming, simulations, and presentations. Participants conducted simulations and presentations on Performance Analysis Techniques, Presentation of LKJIP Documents, Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Follow-up to Performance Reports, and Simulation of Complete LKJIP.
Yogyakarta, February 12, 2026─The Center for Capacity Development and Cooperation (PPKK) FISIPOL UGM held the first training on preparing Regional Government Implementation Reports and Accountability Statements (LPPD and LKPJ) from February 9-12, 2026, in Yogyakarta. Participants from the Rembang and Muara Enim Regencies participated in this training.

The learning process was conducted using interactive methods. Participants not only listened to the material from the speakers but also engaged in brainstorming, simulations, and presentations. Participants conducted simulations and presentations related to the analysis and presentation of LPPD and LKPJ, as well as the evaluation and follow-up of LPPD and LKPJ. During the simulations, participants also processed and analyzed data using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve the accuracy, effectiveness, and quality of report preparation.
Sleman, February 3, 2026─The UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) Capacity Development and Cooperation Center (PPKK), in collaboration with the Pakem Sub-district Government, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, conducted the Candibinangun Village Administrator Selection Test on Tuesday (February 3). This selection test was conducted to fill the positions of Carik, Bulus Kidul Hamlet, Pakisaji Hamlet, Baratan Hamlet, and Nepen Hamlet. The test took place at the Candibinangun Village Hall. The UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) Capacity Development and Cooperation Center (PPKK) served as the examining team.
The Soenario Kolopaking Team from the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has won first place in the National Student Scientific Article Competition at the Sociology Competition of Unesa (SOCIUS) 2025, organized by Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). The competition ran from June 10 to August 3, 2025, and was participated in by eight universities from across Indonesia.
The Soenario Kolopaking Team consists of Nurima Setianingrum and Afkaar Nabil Falah. Under the guidance of Gregorius Ragil Wibawanto, M.A., the team successfully presented their scientific paper titled “The Public Between the State and the Market: The Struggle of Female Online Ojek Drivers in Layered and Persistent Vulnerability.”
Yogyakarta, 12 September 2025 — The International Relations Student Corps (KOMAHI) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) at Universitas Gadjah Mada officially opened the International Relations English Competition (IREC) 2025, a prestigious annual event for high school students across Indonesia. Over three days, from 12–14 September 2025, participants showcase their English proficiency while deepening their understanding of pressing global issues.
The event began with a keynote lecture by Arief Rizky Bakhtiar, Senior Officer for Analysis and Monitoring on Trade, Industry, and Emerging Issues at ASEAN, who offered insightful perspectives on regional trade dynamics, industry trends, and key strategic issues.
Yogyakarta, 9 September 2025 – The Center for Digital Society (CfDS) at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) Universitas Gadjah Mada celebrated its tenth anniversary under the theme “A New Era to Rethink Digital.” The celebration also marked the launch of the 2025 Digital Intelligence Course (MKKD), which carries the topic “Building a Human-Centered and Inclusive Digital Ecosystem.”
Since its establishment ten years ago, CfDS has consistently empowered communities through research and advocacy in digital transformation. One of its flagship initiatives is MKKD, a free digital literacy class initiated in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) in 2020. To date, MKKD has reached more than 40,000 participants and features instructors from across sectors, including academia, government, and industry.
The Undergraduate Program in International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL), Universitas Gadjah Mada, underwent an on-site accreditation assessment by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Social, Political, Administrative, and Communication Sciences (LAMSPAK) on Thursday (September 11). The two-day assessment, held on September 11–12, 2025, took place in Room BB 208, FISIPOL UGM Dean’s Building, using instruments and evaluation criteria based on several quality references for study program accreditation eligibility.
FISIPOL UGM has once again added to its roster of Professors. Prof. Dr. Dafri Agussalim, M.A., lecturer at the Department of International Relations (DIHI), has been officially inaugurated as a Professor in the field of Human Rights Diplomacy in ASEAN and Global Political Leadership.
This inauguration marks an important milestone, not only for Prof. Dafri personally but also for FISIPOL UGM in strengthening its academic contributions at both the national and international levels. As a scholar who has long been engaged in the study of international relations, democracy, and human rights, Prof. Dafri underscored the importance of human rights diplomacy as an instrument to drive change in the region and to enhance Indonesia’s role in global political leadership.
