Yogyakarta, September 11, 2026—The Sociology Student Association (KMS) of Fisipol UGM held an Open House today, Friday (Sept. 11), at the West Concourse (Selasar Barat). This activity is part of the broader “Family Journey 2026” series, an event designed to welcome new students to the Department of Sociology.
The Open House was structured to help new students adapt to the dynamics of student life. The event began with a comprehensive introduction to KMS, followed by division tours that allowed new students to gain a closer understanding of the functions, structures, and operational focuses of the various divisions within the association.
Beyond organizational introductions, the agenda also focused on personal capacity building. Participants attended a session covering the creation of a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and the optimization of LinkedIn profiles. The event concluded with social project pitches and an awards ceremony for the fashion show held earlier in the program. Through Family Journey 2026, it is hoped that students will quickly adapt to the academic and non-academic environment at Fisipol UGM.
