Humanosphere Science School 2017 and The 7th International Symposium for Sustainable Humanosphere

Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) and Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere (RISH)-Kyoto University proudly present Humanosphere Science School 2017. Humanosphere Science School (HSS) provides learning experience by sharing knowledge, science, and technology delivered by experts specializing in subjects related topics. HSS will also hold a forum for interdisciplinary researchers, practitioners and professionals to share their knowledge or results of scientific research in The 7th International Symposium for Sustainable Humanosphere (ISSH). HSS/ISSH is an on-going international collaboration work between Research Center for Biomaterials, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) and Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere (RISH), Kyoto University. It is supported by the JST-supported JASTIP and the JICA/JST-supported SATREPS projects.

 

Authors are kindly invited to submit an abstract related to the topic of the symposium. The registration and submission of the abstract can be done through the web. The seminar covers following topics but not limited to:

 

a. Forest science:
Biodiversity and society; biodiversity in tropical forests; climate change and biodiversity; forest biomass dynamics; forest carbon accounting and monitoring; forest fire; invasive species; intensive silviculture; tree biotechnology; wood science and technology, biomass conversion; carbonized wood-based composites; chemical, physical and mechanical properties of wood; timber structure; wood for energy; wood cell formation; wood biochemistry; wood anatomy and plant physiology; wood deteriorating organisms; wood preservation; wooden construction; wood-based material; wood adhesive; wood and urban pest management.

 

b. Bioscience:
Biodiversity and natural resources; agriculture in changing world; biotechnology and molecular biology; omics science; bioinformatic; biosynthesis, biosensors; bioactive compound and natural product; environmental biology; applied microbiology; animal ecology and animal husbandry; anthropological approach; ethnobotany; food security; and bioremediation.

 

c. Earth science:
Air pollution; equatorial atmosphere; global climate change models; land-ocean weather systems; radar observations; geophysisc; remote sensing; solar activities; space environment; earth geological dynamics and natural disasters; earth carbon cycle dynamics; heat, water and CO2; hydrology and water management system; land resource management.

 

d.Community-based development and socioeconomic science: 
Climate change and society; ecosystem and community; the economy of natural resources; the role of traditional knowledge and values in managing ecosystems; women and natural resources, governance, disaster risk reduction, social vulnerability.

 

e.Applied science and technology :
Bio-based material; advanced material; high performance material; sustainable material; nanotechnology; bioorganic chemistry; chemichal biotechnology; biomedicine; renewable energy; energy and environment; and environmental engineering.
