FISIPOL UGM welcomes students from around the world to apply and take advantage of the high-quality education that the faculty has to offer.

ENTRY PROCEDURES FOR COURSES AND EXCHANGES 

General Entry requirements

The home university's designated representative will fill out the nomination form, providing the nominee's full name, email address, home university, current academic year and level, contact information for the home university coordinator, intended field of study at UGM, and desired exchange semester(s). Nominated students will receive an email with a link to our
online application platform approximately one week after the nomination deadline.

  1. Eligible undergraduate students must have successfully completed a
    minimum of two semesters of study before commencing the exchange
    program.
  2. Upon completion of the exchange program, students are expected to
    return to their home university to finish their degree requirements.
    Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
  3. An English Proficiency Certificate is required for students from non-English-speaking countries with non-English-medium instruction.
    Minimum score; TOEFL:500, IELTS: 5.0, iBT: 70, TOEIC 500, ITP 500 or
    equivalent

Specific Entry Requirements

All international students intending to study in UGM for academic programs, professional coursework, language and cultural classes, or practical training programs should provide the following documents:

  1. A scanned full-page passport
  2. The Latest Official Academic Transcript in English
  3. A Curriculum Vitae / Resume in English
  4. IELTS / TOEFL or other English Proficiency Certificates (*if it’s required for you)
  5. An Official Photo of yours
  6. A Personal Statement
  7. A Financial Statement signed by family/ close relatives
  8. Good Health Statement signed by the doctor
  9. A Recommendation Letter from your Home University
  10. An International Health Insurance (Insurance is mandatory but can be submitted later after you receive the Letter of Acceptance)

Students are required to submit the application for the exchange program on UGM's admission portal at ugm.id/HowToApply

Visa Information

Universitas Gadjah Mada will facilitate the visa application process. Students will be responsible for a visa fee detailed in their Letter of Offer. Once approved, the E-Visa will be sent directly to students from our Legal Permit team's email address (itas.oia@ugm.ac.id). Exchange Students must use a Student Visa (index E30B) for their stay in Indonesia. Those who arrive on a different visa type must depart and reenter Indonesia with the correct visa.
